Wellness Shopping Online is your trusted source for Trace Elements® (TEI) supplements, developed to complement Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) and the research of Dr. David L. Watts, Ph.D. These practitioner-grade formulas are designed to match nutrients with mineral patterns and ratios—such as Ca/Mg, Na/K, and oxidation rate—so your nutritional plan can be targeted, data-driven, and easier to refine over time.
Our store is owned and operated by Eileen Durfee, wellness educator, inventor, and holder of 10 U.S. and 6 international patents. With her engineering background and hands-on experience, Eileen curates TEI supplements to make HTMA-guided programs clear and practical.
With over 97,000 orders shipped, Wellness Shopping Online delivers practitioner-trusted quality and education-first service. Whether you’re building foundational support, addressing detox capacity, or adjusting with retests, Trace Elements formulas provide research-driven nutrition to help you move forward with confidence.
Trace Elements, Inc. makes practitioner-grade mineral, vitamin and glandular formulas built for hair tissue mineral analysis and nutritional balancing programmes. They come out of the research of Dr. David L. Watts, Ph.D., and the organising principle is biochemical individuality: the same nutrient can help one person and work against another, depending on the mineral pattern it lands in.
We stock the complete Trace Elements, Inc. line. For a programme built on hair analysis, completeness matters — a protocol can call for any formula in the range, and having to substitute because something is unavailable defeats the point of testing.
Most supplement decisions are made by looking for what is low. A hair analysis programme does not work that way, and understanding why is the difference between a protocol that helps and one that quietly makes things worse.
Every mineral moves other minerals. Zinc lowers sodium and raises potassium. Calcium antagonises magnesium, potassium, iron, selenium, zinc, chromium and phosphorus. Copper raises tissue calcium. Vitamin C drives copper down. So the question is never simply “is this nutrient low” — it is “what will adding this nutrient do to the ratios that matter most for this person right now.”
A worked example. Say sodium and zinc both read low. The obvious move is zinc. But zinc lowers sodium and raises potassium, which drives the sodium-to-potassium ratio down — and that ratio is the more important number. Correcting the zinc would make the person worse. So generally we do not supplement to a low level. There is an order of priority, and the ratios outrank the individual readings.
This is also why Trace Elements, Inc. states plainly on its own reports that recommendations may leave out a mineral that reads below normal, or include one that reads above it. That is not an error. It is the priority order doing its job.
The single biggest decision in a programme is which metabolic pack a person takes, because that formula sets the overall direction: raising a slowed metabolism or calming an accelerated one.
Dr. Watts weights the calcium-to-phosphorus ratio heavily in that decision, and will move someone from a fast to a slow programme, or the reverse, on the strength of it. Other interpretive systems record Ca/P but do not act on it. That is a genuine difference in how a chart becomes a protocol, and it is one of the reasons I send client samples to this laboratory. There is more on how the packs differ in our guide to metabolic packs from Trace Elements.
Have a report already? Formulas here map onto the standard patterns — sodium/potassium, calcium/magnesium, zinc/copper, calcium/phosphorus and metabolic type — so an existing protocol can be filled without substitution. No report yet? Start with a hair tissue mineral analysis.
Core minerals — zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, molybdenum and others — supporting enzyme systems, antioxidant defences and metabolic balance. These are the formulas that do the ratio work in a programme.

Whole glandular concentrates, lyophilised rather than heat-dried. Freeze-drying preserves heat-sensitive components, which is the entire reason for using the process. Used for adrenal, thyroid and immune support within a balancing programme.

Targeted blends for detoxification support, adrenal and thyroid balance, energy and immune function, including the metabolic packs. Many use Albion® TRAACS® amino acid chelates, which are formulated for absorption and tend to be easier on the stomach — useful when hydrochloric acid production is low, as it often is in a slow metabolic pattern.

I came to hair analysis in 2010, under ARNP Julie Walker in Kennewick, Washington, and worked directly with Analytical Research Labs, testing family and friends until I could read a chart properly. I listened to every cassette tape Dr. Paul Eck recorded and read every newsletter that laboratory published. When I learned a degree in Nutritional Balancing existed I signed up with Dr. Larry Wilson in August 2011, and I have practised independently since autumn 2017. Before all of it I was a nuclear quality engineer, which is how I ended up caring as much about who manufactures a supplement as what is in it.
What I want you to take from this page is the priority idea. The most common thing I correct is someone who has read their own chart, spotted three low minerals and bought three bottles. That approach can move a ratio the wrong way, and the ratio is what governs how you feel. Order matters more than coverage. If you only ever take the metabolic pack and nothing else, you are still doing the most important thing on the list.
How I am available. Hair analysis clients get text support from me while they are on their programme — retracing and detox symptoms are the questions that come up, and they are much easier answered in the moment. It takes roughly three months of working together before someone can read their own chart well enough to adjust between tests, and that is the goal; I would rather teach you than have you dependent on me. Our Facebook group is open to everyone whether or not you have ever ordered, and years of questions are already answered in it.
I work in order of priorities to fit your budget. Some people go all out for longevity, others take only the hair analysis supplements once a day, and both are legitimate. Tell me where you are and we will start from there.

It identifies your mineral levels, the ratios between them and your metabolic type. The metabolic pack is chosen first, because it sets the direction of the programme, and supporting formulas are added in order of priority from there. The ratios carry more weight than any single mineral reading.
Because minerals move each other. Zinc lowers sodium and raises potassium, so supplementing a genuine zinc deficiency can push the sodium-to-potassium ratio further out of balance and leave you feeling worse. We generally do not supplement to a low level for that reason — there is an order of priority, and it usually starts with the ratios.
You can order anything here directly. Where a practitioner earns their place is in the interpretation — deciding the order, and spotting the cases where the obvious supplement is the wrong one. If you would like that, add a hair analysis with a pattern report.
It is the foundation formula of a programme, matched to whether your metabolism needs raising or calming. Dr. Watts uses the calcium-to-phosphorus ratio to make that call, which is why the same chart can produce a different pack under a different interpretive system.
The Albion® TRAACS® chelates are formulated for absorption and gastric comfort, which helps if your stomach acid is low — a common finding in slow metabolic patterns.
Because heat destroys the components that make a glandular worth taking. Lyophilisation removes water at low temperature and preserves biological activity, which is the only reason to use a more expensive process.
