Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a tissue biopsy test also known by many as "hair analysis" or "hair mineral analysis". It offers an overview of an individual's biochemistry and establishes how well the mineral levels are balanced in their body. Results of each test help make conclusions about the person's body metabolic rate, carbohydrate tolerance, sugar tolerance, glandular and immune functions, and levels of stress.
