  • Supports digestion of gluten and casein for sensitive individuals‡
  • Contains BioCore® DPP IV enzyme blend for effective breakdown of gluten and casein‡
  • Broad-spectrum enzyme complex for comprehensive digestive support‡

Understanding Gluten Sensitivity and Digestion

Gluten intolerance is becoming more common, especially due to the presence of gluten in modern diets, often found in grains like wheat, rye, and barley. Even gluten-free foods can become contaminated with gluten during processing. Glutezyme® helps to digest gluten, easing common symptoms like bloating, discomfort, brain fog, and fatigue.‡

How to read your dosage — the label is not always your dose

The bottle gives Progressive Laboratories’ suggested use, and for most people that is the right starting point.

If a health provider has set a schedule for you — written as three numbers for morning, noon and evening — their schedule wins. Work out how long a bottle will last from your schedule, not from the label.

If you are not sure how to read your schedule, send it over — walking people through their own numbers is exactly what the text support is for.

About this formula

Enzymes for gluten and casein peptides

Glutezyme supplies enzymes aimed at the specific peptide bonds in gluten and casein that ordinary digestive enzymes leave largely intact.

It is worth saying plainly: this is digestive support, not a licence to eat gluten if you have coeliac disease. Anyone with a diagnosed condition should keep following their provider's advice.

What "practitioner-grade" actually means here

Progressive Laboratories has manufactured for practitioners since 1974 and does not sell through retail channels. That matters for two practical reasons.

The first is formulation. A retail product has to sell itself from the shelf, which pushes formulators toward recognisable ingredients at recognisable doses. A practitioner product is chosen by someone reading a chart, so it can be built around what the protocol needs rather than what the label needs to say.

The second is verification. Their facility is UL-certified and GMP-registered, with raw material identity testing and finished-product assay. It is the unglamorous part of supplement quality and the part that decides whether the amount on the label is the amount in the capsule.

From Eileen Durfee

Curated by Practitioner Eileen Durfee, NBS (Nutritional Balancing Science), NASM-CPT — wellness educator, inventor with 10 U.S. and 6 international patents, author, and Nationally Certified Spinal Fitness Specialist

This helps with incidental exposure — the meal out where something was not what it said it was. It is not permission to eat gluten if you genuinely react to it, and I would rather say that plainly than have someone find out the hard way.

I came to hair analysis in 2010, under ARNP Julie Walker in Kennewick, Washington, and worked directly with Analytical Research Labs — testing family and friends until I could read a chart properly. I listened to every cassette tape Dr. Paul Eck recorded and read every newsletter that laboratory published. When I found out a degree in Nutritional Balancing existed, I signed up with Dr. Larry Wilson in August 2011, and I have practised independently since the autumn of 2017. The most useful thing I can offer is not a longer product list — it is help reading your own chart and adjusting between tests. Mineral patterns almost always shift on a retest, and watching that happen chart to chart is where the real learning is. I hand-select the formulas and the absorbable forms that consistently help people feel and function better.

How I am available to you. If you order a hair analysis, you get text support from me while you are on the program — retracing and detox questions are best answered as they happen, not weeks later. It takes about three months to train someone to understand what is going on and adjust their own program between tests, and that is the goal. Our Facebook group is free to join whether or not you have bought anything: ask questions there and read through the tips already shared.

I also work in order of priorities, to fit your budget. Some people go all out for longevity; others take only what their hair analysis calls for, once a day. Both are worth doing. Tell me where you are and we will start there.

Matched to your chart. Progressive Laboratories formulas are designed to be selected from Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis results rather than chosen from symptoms, because the same product can suit one oxidation pattern well and another poorly. If you are unsure whether this one fits you, a hair analysis answers that from your own numbers.

What are the key ingredients in Glutezyme and their specific roles?

The key ingredients in Progressive Laboratories Glutezyme and their specific roles are as follows:

  • SEB Gluten Relief™ (Protease Blend): This is a proprietary blend of enzymes specifically designed to break down gluten proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids, making them easier to digest and reducing the likelihood of discomfort for those with gluten sensitivities.
  • Amylase: An enzyme that helps digest carbohydrates by breaking down starches into simpler sugars. Amylase aids in the overall digestive process by ensuring that carbohydrates are properly broken down and absorbed.
  • α-Galactosidase: This enzyme helps break down complex carbohydrates found in certain foods, such as beans and vegetables, to reduce gas and bloating. It aids in the digestion of oligosaccharides that can otherwise cause digestive discomfort.
  • Lactase: An enzyme that breaks down lactose, the sugar found in dairy products. Lactase helps individuals who are lactose intolerant to digest dairy more comfortably by assisting in the breakdown of lactose.
  • Bromelain: An enzyme derived from pineapples, bromelain helps with protein digestion and may also possess anti-inflammatory properties, which can further support digestive health.
  • Papain: Derived from papaya, papain is another protein-digesting enzyme that aids in breaking down proteins into amino acids, promoting better digestion and nutrient absorption.
  • Lipase: An enzyme that breaks down fats into fatty acids and glycerol, facilitating fat digestion and absorption in the intestines.
  • Cellulase: This enzyme helps break down cellulose, a component of plant cell walls, aiding in the digestion of vegetable fibers and enhancing overall digestive health.
  • L-Glutamine: An amino acid that supports gut health by maintaining the integrity of the intestinal lining. It can help reduce intestinal permeability and contribute to the healing of the gut, making it beneficial for individuals with digestive issues.
