Endo-met Moly-Cu and Hair Analysis

Moly-Cu from Endo-met is a mineral supplement that is normally used in situations where methods to correct a high copper level are unsuccessful. Moly-Cu supplements Molybdenum (100 mcg), which is trace element that is essential for all forms of life. It also contains Black Radish root (100 mcg), Kelp (300 mg), and Parsley Leaf (100 mg).

The major functions of Molybdenum include:

    • Excretory (purine metabolism)
    • Metabolic (fat, aldehyde, uric acid metabolism, iron, copper, and sulfur homeo-stasis)
    • Detoxification (copper, sulfate, sulfite, aldehydes)
    • Skeletal (high molybdenum in dental enamel, gout, cancer preventive)
    • Molecular (electron transfer agent that reacts with flavins)

Molybdenum can be found in many sources of food including beans, lentils, peas, buckwheat, barley, oats, nuts, pork, beef liver, lamb, seeds, fruit, and vegetables. However, it may be supplemented for an individual to help lower their elevated copper level or to reduce symptoms that are associated with high copper, such as fatigue, skin problems, headaches, and premenstrual tension. Extra supplementation can be very helpful in lowering copper and mitigating the elimination symptoms. It is a copper antagonist and chelator, and also helps to raise sodium.

Humans tend to not be too deficient in molybdenum but a possible symptom would be dental caries. Toxicity symptoms are more common and include diarrhea, hair loss, loss of hair color, gout, anemia, weight loss, growth retardation, and osteoporosis.

Dr. Eck used Molybdenum supplement for copper toxicity, but Dr. Wilson prefers not to recommend it as often due to toxicity. However, it can be used in cases where other means are not sufficient in correct a copper imbalance.

A hair analysis kit can reveal your body’s mineral ratios and levels and help guide a Nutritional Balancing program to correct them. Invest in your health today with a hair analysis!

Moly-Cu is currently discontinued by manufacturer. It contained cellulose (plant), stearic acid (palm), magnesium stearate (palm), hypromellose (plant), maltodextrin and polyethylene glycol and is free of casein, corn, dairy, egg, gluten, GMO, lactose, soy, wheat, whey, yeast.
